Krzysztof Budzich has been a member of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund since May 22, 2024. He oversees the Resolution Planning Department, the Financial System Projects Department, and the Resolution Department.
Since 2002, he has been associated with public administration, initially at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, and since 2007 at the Ministry of Finance, where he served, among other roles, as Deputy Director of the Financial Market Development Department. He was responsible for financial market legislation, primarily in the area of financial safety nets and crisis management. He oversaw legislative work related to regulations in national and EU law concerning deposit guarantees, bank resolution, macroprudential supervision, and crisis management in the financial system.
His responsibilities also included new technologies in financial services. He supervised legislative work related to the market for payment services, electronic money, and crypto-assets.
From 2019 to 2023, he was a Member of the Financial Supervision Commission, representing the Minister of Finance.
In 2020-2021 and 2022-2024, he was the Representative of the Minister of Finance on the Council of the Bank Guarantee Fund.
Krzysztof Budzich holds a law degree from the University of Szczecin and completed postgraduate studies at the Warsaw School of Economics in the field of company law and risk management in financial institutions.
