Tomasz Obal has been a member of the Management Board of the Bank Guarantee Fund since April 27, 2015, and on May 22, 2024, he was appointed Deputy President of the Management Board of the BFG.
He oversees the Deposit Guarantee Department, the Administration and Procurement Department, the IT Department, the Accounting Department, and the Risk and Compliance Office.
Mr. Obal started work in the Bank Guarantee Fund in 1995. In the years 2004-2005, Mr. Obal worked in Pekao SA analysing the bank’s position against the banking sector. Since 2005 Mr. Obal served as the Director of the Deposit Guarantee Department in the Bank Guarantee Fund.
Tomasz Obal graduated from the University of Warsaw at the Banking Finance and Accounting Department. He holds a PhD in Economics.
