Appointed by the Minister of Finance as the Chairman of the BFG Council on January 19, 2024.
He has been associated with the banking sector for over 20 years. He began his career in 1997 at BRE Corporate Finance, where as a consultant he participated in teams working on merger and acquisition projects, privatization, and corporate restructuring. In 2000, he started working in the Polish brokerage office of ABN AMRO as a junior banking analyst for Central Europe, Turkey, and South Africa. In 2003, he was transferred to the ABN AMRO office in London as a junior analyst for Iberian banks.
From 2004, he worked as a banking sector analyst at Morgan Stanley in London, where he was responsible for preparing analytical reports for banks in Turkey, Central Europe, Austria, Greece, South Africa, and Kazakhstan.
In 2007, he took the position of head of the banking sector team for the EMEA emerging markets at Lehman Brothers in London, where he created an analytical product from scratch for institutional clients. After the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, he continued his work at Nomura International, which took over the European team of the failed bank. In 2011, he moved to Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London as the head of the EMEA banking sector analyst team. The team he led achieved a top position in the Institutional Investors ranking.
In 2014, he started working at the investment fund Pioneer Investments in London as the Director of the Analysis Department responsible for the financial companies sector in global emerging markets. After the fund was acquired by Amundi Asset Management, he continued his role until 2022.
He graduated in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics. He also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license awarded by the American CFA Institute.
